Lisening to the Mars Hotel out takes from TDIH. My guess is the date is wrong, consider the album was released in June of 74.

Anywhoo...
Listening to track 8 Ship Of Fools it is eerily similar in places to Standing On The Moon.

Kinda of cool listening to these kinds of recordings and hearing sparks of things to come in the future.

edit: forgot to ask....anyone know of any live versions of Pride Of Cucamonga? for some reason, that has always been a tune that I enjoy from that album.
I searched Dead Base and didn't find where they played it anywhere, but I'm a dope and may have missed it.

Hey FB--my understanding is that PofC was never played live, and UBCh was played a few times toward the end, but that's just info I think I've picked up here...could be wrong.

I really like that tune as well and I was really happy when the dead busted it out at this show.

Great show! Highlights... Althea, Pride of C, West LA, and the encore(at the time I was disappointed with the selection but it grew on me.). Check it out!

I was at the Charlotte 04 show. I thought the encore was pretty bad and still do. PoC was a nice treat though.

This show also features the last of 3 Shine On You Crazy Diamonds and a killer Estimated.

The next night in Atlanta was also excellent with a Morning Dew encore!
